Stop Agent-based Log Collection
If you have set up continuous log collection by installing Management Agent or Oracle Cloud Agent, then during the setup, source-entity associations are created to enable log collection from the entities. To stop log collection from an entity, it must be dissociated from the source.
-
Identify the source-entity associations for your logs. In the Log Explorer, filter your logs and note the sources used.
-
If auto-association is enabled for the source identified in step1, then disable it first. This ensures that the entities are not automatically associated with the source anymore. See Disable Auto-Association for a Source.
Even after disabling the auto-association, the logs are collected from the entities that were previously associated with that source. Therefore, you must dissociate them.
-
Dissociate the entities from the source that you identified in step1. See Stop Log Collection from an Entity.
At this point, the agent configuration is updated in the host where the agent is installed and the logs are not transmitted anymore from the host.
