Subscribe a Database to an Image

Once an image has been created, the next step is to subscribe databases to the image.

To subscribe a database to an image follow these steps:
  1. Click on the Databases tab, this will show a table with all databases visible to Patch Management.
  2. Databases not subscribed to an image will show Not Subscribed - Manage Subscription under the Subscribed Image column, to subscribe the database to an image click on Manage Subscription.
  3. In the Subscribe pop-up select the image that will be used for this database. You can search by image name or from the Image Name table. Click on the Image Name to subscribe.
  4. Once an image has been selected the Selected Image box will appear with specific details for that image. Review that the information is correct and click Submit.
  5. A new pop-up will appear for the subscribe image request, click Close. The database selected will now show subscribed to the selected image once the request completes.

    Once subscribed, the next vulnerability scan that runs, will provide a report on any pending additional patches required for this image. If pending additional patches are found, create a new image version incorporating all the additional patches.
