Viewing the Security Updates Report
View the security updates report in Autonomous Linux. This report indicates whether the instances are up-to-date on security patches and provides details about associated security advisories.
Navigate
- Navigate to the Reports list page.
- In Applied filters, select the Compartment and Location of the instances you want to report on.
- Select the Security updates report from the list of available reports.
Use filters to refine the report
Use the Search and filter field to refine the instances listed in the report based on:
- Name: The full or partial name of the instance you're interested in.
- Up-to-date: Select this to include instances that have no security updates needed.
- Advisories/updates: Select this to include instances that require security updates.
- OS version: The OS version of the instances to report on.
- Location: The Location of instances to report on.
View advisories/updates
For any instance in the list where Up-to-date is No, you can view the associated advisories that apply to the instance.
From the row's Actions menu (
), select View advisories/updates.This includes each advisory, along with its associated CVEs, description, issue date, and affected packages.
Download report
Select Download report to download the full report in CSV, JSON, or XML format.
Apply updates
Use the oci os-management-hub managed-instance summarize-analytics command and required parameters to return metrics for a compartment of managed instances.

Run the SummarizeManagedInstanceAnalytics operation to return metrics for a collection of managed instances.
