Updating a Patch Type

Update the name of a custom patch type in Fleet Application Management.

If you update a patch type that's associated with a product, the patch type is also updated in the product definition.

You can't update an Oracle-defined patch type.

1. On the Patch types list page, find the patch type that you want to work with. If you need help finding the list page or the patch type, see Listing Patch Types.
2. From the Actions menu () for the patch type, select Edit.
3. In the Edit patch type panel, update the patch type name. Avoid entering confidential information.
4. Select Save changes.
Use the oci fleet-apps-management fleet-apps-management-admin platform-configuration update-platform-configuration-patch-type-config-category-details command and required parameters to update a patch type:
oci fleet-apps-management fleet-apps-management-admin platform-configuration update-platform-configuration-patch-type-config-category-details --platform-configuration-id <platform_configuration_OCID> [OPTIONS]
