Adding Targets to a Fleet

Select and add targets that must be available for lifecycle operations during target discovery in Fleet Application Management.

You might need to add targets to a fleet during the following situations:
  • The operating environments or product homes might change dynamically, and Fleet Application Management need to adapt accordingly. When such new environments are discovered, adding them as targets ensures that Fleet Application Management can interact with or manage these new resources effectively.
  • New virtual machines or cloud instances might be spun up automatically based on demand. When these new instances are detected, they should be added as targets to ensure proper monitoring, management, or resource allocation.
    1. On the Fleets list page, select the fleet that you want to work with. If you need help finding the list page or the fleet, see Listing Fleets.
    2. Select the Targets tab.
A list of confirmed targets is displayed, showing the target name, version, product, parent resource, and other relevant information required to track the patch compliance status of all targets.
    3. Select Add targets.
    4. In the Add targets panel, select the checkbox next to the target paths that you want to add, and then select Add targets.
