Getting a Request Control Rule's Details for a Web Application Firewall Policy

View the details of a request control rule for a web application firewall policy. Details include conditions and default action settings, which specify how the rule handles requests that don't match any rule defined in the WAF policy.

Using the Console

  1. On the Policies list page, select the WAF policy that contains the rules that you want to work with. If you need help finding the list page or the policy, see Listing Web Application Firewall Policies.
  2. On the WAF policy's details page, under Policy, select Access control.
  3. Under Access control, select Request control.
  4. Expand the access rule that you want to work with.
  5. (Optional) To view the rule's default action settings, select Manage request control.
Details about default action settings include the action name and type, block response code, header information, and the response page body code. The response page body code decides the message returned to users with an access request that can't be met.
