Viewing logs using the Console

These instructions describe how to view private DNS resolver logs directly from the resolver details page.

  1. Open the navigation menu , select Networking, and then select Virtual cloud networks.
  2. Under List Scope, select a compartment that you have permission to work in. The page updates to display only the resources in that compartment. If you're not sure which compartment to use, contact an administrator. For more information, see Access Control.
  3. Select the name of the VCN where the private DNS resolver resides whose logs you want to view.
  4. From the Virtual Cloud Network Details screen for the VCN, look in the VCN Details tab and select the name of the private DNS resolver for the VCN. The Private Resolver Information screen appears.
  5. Under Resources, select Logs.
  6. Find Query response logs in the list.
  7. Select a log name to view the log.
