Editing a User's Permission for a Base Schema Attribute
In addition to creating, editing, or deleting custom schema attributes for the user schema in IAM, you might want to change permissions for a attribute for this schema.
For example, to maximize the real estate of the Details tab of the Users page of the Console, you might want to hide base attributes that your subscribers don't use. You can also protect the values associated with some base attributes so that they're not changed inadvertently.
- On the User attributes list page, in the Filter attribute field, select Base. If you need help finding the list page or the attribute, see Listing User Attributes.
- From the for the custom attribute that you want to edit, select Edit attribute.
- From the End-user permissions field, select the permission that you want to set for this attribute. For more information about these fields, see Creating a Custom User Attribute.
- Select Save changes.
