a. Go to http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/index.html and download the Oracle Tuxedo 12c Release 2 (12.2.2) installation file specific to your platform.
b. Set the JAVA_HOME environment variable which points to your JRE or JDK home.
c. Go to the directory where you downloaded the Oracle Tuxedo installer, unzip the installer file, and then go to the Disk1\install directory, run the following command to start the installation:

Note: GUI mode is the default for Tuxedo 12c Release 2 (12.2.2) installation. If a GUI interface is not available on your UNIX platform, you will receive an error message and the installation process is aborted.If a GUI interface is not available on your UNIX platform, you may use console mode or silent mode installation. For more information, see What Is Console-Mode Installation? and What Is Silent Installation?The Oracle Tuxedo installer program prompts you to enter specific information about your system and configuration. For instructions on responding to the prompts during installation, see Table 2‑1.For GUI-Mode installation screens, see Oracle Universal Installer Installation Screens.
Table 2‑1 Instructions Click Next to proceed with the installation. You may cancel the installation at any time by clicking Cancel. For silent installations, if a non-empty, existing directory is specified, an error is logged in the console and in the installActions<timestamp>.log file. Also, the OUI aborts. To override this condition, use the -force flag on the command line. The effect of using the -force flag is the same as selecting Yes while installing in interactive mode. You receive a warning message, but the installation continues.Tuxedo Product Installation Directory is "$ORACLE_HOME/tuxedo12.2.2.0.0" by default (UNIX) and cannot change after the ORACLE_HOME is determined. Tuxedo installer doesn't allow installation of two versions of the same tuxedo product into the same ORACLE_HOME.If the selected ORACLE_HOME had the same version tuxedo installed, the installer will show a warning. Select (add) or deselect (clear) one or more software components from the selected install type, or choose one of the other four install types or Custom Set from the drop-down list menu and customize its software components. • Oracle Services Architecture Leveraging Tuxedo (Oracle SALT)—contains Oracle Services Architecture Leveraging Tuxedo (Oracle SALT) software
• LDAP Filter File Location: (tux_ prod_dir/udataobj/security/ bea_ldap_filter.dat by default, where tux_prod_dir represents the product directory in which you installed the Oracle Tuxedo software, the default LDAP filter file is generated after installation completed) Oracle Tuxedo uses the tlisten password to protect the local machine from administrative requests and operations that are not authorized. Whenever administrative communication is received on the local machine through tlisten(1) gateway processes, Oracle Tuxedo authenticates using the tlisten password. Replace adm_account with the Oracle Tuxedo administrator account, replace adm_group with the Oracle Tuxedo administrator group ID, and replace full_path_of_tux_prod_dir with the full pathname of the product directory in which you installed the Oracle Tuxedo software.The Oracle Tuxedo 12c Release 2 (12.2.2) software for Windows provides an Oracle Administration program and two Windows services (Tlisten and Oracle procMGR) for configuring the Oracle Tuxedo system on a Windows system. Only if the installation included Oracle Tuxedo server components will these additional administration tools be installed on the Windows system.After you have installed or upgraded the Oracle Tuxedo software on your Windows system, you can use the Oracle Administration control panel (Start → Settings → Control Panel → Oracle Tuxedo 12c Release 2 (12.2.2) Administration) to perform the following tasks:
• Configure Oracle Tuxedo tlisten(1) processes to start automaticallyFor instructions on performing these tasks, see Configuring Oracle Tuxedo ATMI for Windows Server in Using Oracle Tuxedo ATMI on Windows.
• To view this structure, choose Start → Run to launch the Run dialog box, enter regEdt32, and click OK to launch the Registry Editor window.If Oracle Tuxedo 12c Release 2 (12.2.2) is installed successfully, Windows Service "ORACLE ProcMGR V12.2.2.0.0_VS2010" and "TUXEDO 12.2.2.0.0_VS2010 Listener on Port 3050" are installed.If Oracle Tuxedo 12c Release 2 (12.2.2) is installed successfully, Oracle Tuxedo 12.2.2.0.0 Control Panel is installed as below.
• Any user who runs tlisten(1) must have read access permissions.Oracle recommends that the Administrator have full control permissions.
