Converting a Project Created in WebLogic Workshop 8.1 SP2 to an SP3 Project

If you have portlets that were created in WebLogic Workshop 8.1 SP2, you can make them WSRP-compliant by importing the project into an SP3 enterprise application. To import an SP2 project, use this procedure:

NOTE: The server must not be running during this procedure.

  1. In WebLogic Workshop, right-click the application into which you want to import the SP2 project.

    A context menu opens.

  2. Select Import Project...

The Import Project-New Project window appears.

Note that Portal and Portal Web Project are selected.

  3. If you know the name and path to the project you want to import, enter it in Directory. Otherwise, click Browse and navigate to the project you want to import, select it, and click Open.

The Import Project-New Project window reappears, this time showing the selected project path and name in the appropriate fields.

  4. Click Import.

The import process begins and Copying meter appears. Once the files have been copied, you will be prompted to update your project with certain files and directories specific to SP3.

  5. Click Yes.

The imported project now appears on the WebLogic Workshop file tree under the application.

  6. Right click the imported project and select Import>Update Portal Libraries.

    A warning message appears:

  7. Click Yes.

A progress meter appears; when that meter closes, the import process will be complete and SP2 project will be successfully imported.
