Configure Edge Servers

Before you begin

WebLogic RFID Edge Server must be installed on your system and running. See Installing webLogic RFID Server and Starting and Stopping WebLogic RFID Edge Server.


You configure Edge Servers by adding Edge Server instances to the Administration Console.

To add an Edge Server instance to the Console:

  1. In the right pane of the Console, select Configure Edge Servers and click New.

    The Create Edge Server Configuration page displays.

  2. For each Edge Server you want to add, specify the Edge Server URL (the location of the Edge Server instance) using the format: http://host_name:port, where host_name is the host name of the machine where the Edge Server is running, and port is the port the Edge Server is listening on (configured when you installed the Edge Server).

  3. Click OK.

Result

The Edge Server configuration is added to the Console.
